Goodlife Collective in collaboration with Creative Leadership were honoured to host Matrix Development CoFounder Nicholas Janni for a virtual live talk from his home in Italy, on a hybrid event, hosting attendees both in person and online. Huge thanks to Jim Scully of ThinkPlace Aotearoa for generously hosting this event.
Janni's book, "Leader as Healer' won the 2023 Business Book of the Year, and he has recently published, "Leading in Chaos' with Amy Elizabeth Fox.
This event was a special experience in which Nicholas shared some key insights and concepts from his book Leader as Healer (which we could have listened to for hours!). We then had a more participative experience, where we were guided into our bodies by Nicholas to 'return from exile', to notice what was residing in our bodies on a deeper level. His mastery as an executive coach was evident here. We were then invited to consider, 'in what ways are you playing small?'  A powerful question, that we journalled individually, and then discussed in small groups.
With all events like these, I was reminded how simple some soul learning can be. That we merely need to make time and space for questions that matter, that focus us inwards.
As Carl Jung famously said:Â Your visions will become clear only when you can look into your own heart. Who looks outside, dreams; who looks inside, awakes".
Janni's work and wisdom are gifts to the world, and offer powerful tools to help us into our personal agency and hope - with which we can shape a future of collective thriving.
